Welcome to the 2009-10 school year at Heritage Elementary School.  Whether
you are new to the school or are a returning family, we are confident your
child will enjoy learning and making new friends at HES.  We look forward to
meeting you throughout the year at any number of fun-filled school events and
programs.

As a PTA, our mission is to build a strong, cooperative relationship between
parents, teachers, and staff to realize the full educational potential of every
student.  Some of the ways we accomplish this are through sponsorship of
improvements to our school building and grounds.  Last year, a reinvigorated
PTA welcomed a new principal, introduced a new school mascot, launched our
new PTA website and funded improvements to our playground.  We are
enthusiastic about the year ahead and encourage you to be a part of it.

We hope you will support the PTA by becoming a member and attending any of
our monthly meetings.  Your voice is important to us and we want to hear your
suggestions. While time is a luxury in our busy lives, we think supporting your
child’s school is always time well spent.  Whether you can contribute many
hours or just one, it makes a difference in our school and, more importantly, in
the eyes of our children.

In the coming months, you will learn of ways to contribute through our website
and the Heritage Herald, our printed weekly announcements bulletin.  We hope
you will pick something that interests you and get involved.

Again, welcome to Heritage Elementary School.  We look forward to meeting
you and appreciate your help in making our school a great place to learn and
grow.

Kind regards,

Amanda S. McCabe, President
