| From The PTA President |
We look forward to meeting you during Open House and throughout the year at any number of fun-filled school events and programs. As a PTA, our mission is for parents, teachers, staff, and students to work together for the benefit of each and every student. Some of the ways we accomplish this are through sponsorship of cultural arts programs, awarding educational grants, and making improvements to our school building and grounds. Among the many exciting things we can look forward to this school year are a new principal, a new mascot, and a new PTA website (www.heritagepta.org). We are enthusiastic about the year ahead and encourage you to be a part of it. We hope you will support the PTA by becoming a member and attending any of our monthly meetings. Your voice is important to us and we want to hear your suggestions. While time is a luxury in our busy lives, we think supporting your child’s school is always time well spent. Whether you can contribute many hours or just one, it makes a difference in our school and, more importantly, in the eyes of our children. In the coming months, you will learn of ways to contribute in the weekly email update (Heritage Headlines), printed weekly announcements bulletin (Heritage Herald), the bi-monthly PTA newsletter (StormTracker), and the PTA website. We hope you will pick something that interests you and get involved. Again, welcome to Heritage Elementary School.
